Vacation On A Budget This Summer

Summer is a great time to get away with family, friends, or just yourself. Experts are saying over a quarter of Americans are not taking a summer vacation simply because they don’t believe they can afford it. Fortunately, low funds doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t go on vacation. Here are some tips!

Set aside a “piggy bank.” Every week or every two weeks set aside money. It will build up faster than you think. While you may not be able to fly to Fiji, that money you saved will definitely have you on a beach somewhere.

Flying is expensive. It can actually make or break someone’s ability to go on a trip. Flying on a Tuesday or Wednesday will save you tons of money. Also, signing up for travel alerts will give you access to good deals.

Skip the hotel! Use services like Airbnb or stay in a hostel. In an Airbnb you can cook your own meals so you aren’t eating out everyday.

Don’t let money hold you back from a great vacation! Your ultimate beach vacation is cheaper than you think.
