There is a strong entrepreneurial spirit prevailing in society today. Many individuals are venturing out to establish their own businesses, and some of them achieve great success! Take Minecraft, for example, once just an indie game and now a key component of Microsoft’s business strategy. However, it’s crucial to recognize that while starting a new business is appealing and feasible in certain situations, it may not always be the optimal choice.
I’ve come across numerous incidents where individuals wanted to launch a startup with nothing but a vague concept of their service. No solid strategy, insufficient resources, not even a consistent workspace – just a notion and an assumption that everything will fall into place miraculously. However, startups don’t operate in that manner. No one will hand you a plethora of resources and do the work for you. You can’t just be the “idea person” in a company. If you are genuinely serious about establishing a startup, you must conduct thorough research to validate the feasibility of your idea, devise a detailed plan, and execute it.
If you are unable to construct a solid action plan, you may not be prepared to kickstart a startup. In such a scenario, you might need more experience or potentially more financial resources. Though it may not align entirely with the entrepreneurial spirit, you may need to consider securing a job at an established company.
Remember, taking on a job elsewhere does not prevent you from eventually starting your own business and becoming your own boss. You have time on your side, so gather real-world experience and work on developing your business plan during your free time.
