Amazon Beats Out Google & Apple For World’s Top Brand

Amazon has just marked yet another achievement.

The retail super-giant has now passed both Google and Apple to become the most valuable brand in the world.

According to the BrandZ ‘Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brand ranking’ for 2019, Amazon currently has the world’s most valuable brand at $315.5 billion. Apple now trails behind at $309.5 billion, with Google right behind them at $309 billion. This news will come as an upset for Google and Apple, who’ve been sharing the top two spots for the last dozen years in a row. Head of BrandZ Doreen Wang credits Amazon’s huge variety of goods and services offered for this “phenomenal brand value growth of almost $108 billion in the last year…”

On top of the regular innovation brought forward by Amazon, they’ve also been increasing their investments in a wide range of companies. The company is currently working on Amazon Air as well, which is sure to keep them busy and in the limelight. Amazon even bought an online pharmacy, PillPack, for $753 million in 2018.

Tech companies have been dominating the business world for years, and it doesn’t look like the trend is about to change anytime soon. While tech companies still reign supreme, Amazon is constantly pushing perceived limits and leading the way in innovation in all the right places.
