It’s OK To Fail When Starting A Business

You may have already heard that failure is part of the learning process when it comes to business. That is certainly true, but the rationale behind this line of thinking often doesn’t add up. Think about it, why should failure ever be something to view positively? There are multiple reasons, however, so if you’ve made a mistake while trying to get your business rolling, don’t regret it too much, but rather try to learn from it.

Business is really just an art that requires you to follow a process. Part of the process is constant testing and information gathering. In short, you have to try many things, some of which will succeed, while other courses of action fail. There is only so much you can learn from books or the internet. If you are already failing, but not giving up, then you are quite far ahead of most people who try to make it in business.

Business is not only a concept, but a hands-on process as well. If you’ve been inundated with information on how to launch a successful marketing campaign, for example, but you don’t know what your first step is, don’t worry! Just start with the basics and go knock on the doors you need to knock on, and test what needs to be tested. In case it sounds to risky to you, consider the many successful people that credit their GRIT for their business success. Gimmy Chu, co-founder and CEO of Nanoleaf, credits his success to his ability to try and learn, regardless of the outcome.
