Uber is Pilot Testing a Monthly Subscription Plan for Access to Rides, Scooters, Bikes, and Food
The subscription plan is priced at $24.99 per month and provides fixed discounts on rides along with free delivery for UberEats orders.
According to an Uber spokesperson, the company is constantly seeking ways to make Uber the preferred choice for everyday needs, offering discounts on all their popular services through this new subscription. For frequent users of Uber, the subscription can lead to significant savings, especially with the elimination of delivery charges on UberEats orders above a certain amount.
Last year, Uber introduced a subscription service named Ride Pass, enabling riders to receive ride discounts for a fixed monthly cost. However, the current subscription package from Uber is the first to combine all their services into one comprehensive offering. This subscription model is advantageous for Uber as it encourages users to remain active on their platforms, making it a worthwhile deal for regular Uber users.
Additionally, Uber is experimenting with new features like Uber Comfort, a ride option that enables riders to customize preferences for conversations and climate control. Initially available to riders in North America, this feature comes at a premium compared to regular Uber rides but includes top-rated drivers and increased legroom.
