Different areas of the country cater to different individuals.
When considering where to settle down, retirees might think of sunny spots like Florida or Arizona, while young professionals may lean towards the Midwest. But what about single men? A recent study by LendingTree looked at data from the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the US to determine which cities offer the best amenities for single men. The study took into account factors such as job opportunities, crime rates, the dating scene, and more.
At the top of the list is Madison, Wisconsin, considered the best city in the US for single men. This is mainly due to its strong performance in health and safety measures. Madison also offers a vibrant cultural scene and plenty of activities for single men. Interestingly, the city also ranked highest for single women in LendingTree’s study. Following Madison, the second and third best cities for single men are located in the Northeast. Hartford, CT, and Albany, NY claimed the 2nd and 3rd spots, respectively, due to their positive health and safety ratings.
Conversely, Memphis, TN was rated as the worst city for single men in the US. Memphis struggled in areas such as culture and entertainment. However, the city’s major setback was its alarmingly low safety rating, as it has the highest violent crime rate among the top 100 metropolitan areas in the country.
