McDonald’s is collaborating with the incredibly popular K-pop group, BTS, to introduce a special themed meal.
Over the past year, McDonald’s has been teaming up with major music icons to offer exclusive meal deals curated by the artists themselves. Partnerships with J Balvin and Travis Scott were highly successful, with some McDonald’s outlets experiencing ingredient shortages due to the high demand. Riding on this wave of success, McDonald’s is now gearing up for its next star collaboration, this time with BTS.
McDonald’s recently revealed its partnership with BTS to launch a musician-endorsed meal. BTS, a South Korean group with a global fanbase, will have their meal available in South Korea, the United States, Brazil, Canada, and up to 50 countries worldwide. The BTS Meal will consist of a ten-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, and a Coke, accompanied by sweet chili and Cajun sauces, previously exclusive to McDonald’s in South Korea.

McDonald’s strategy with these celebrity collaborations aims to boost sales without straying from their core menu items. The promotional meals feature regular menu items, leveraging the popularity of the partnered celebrities. With the overwhelming presence of BTS over the past year, the BTS Meal is anticipated to be another triumph.
The BTS Meal will be launched in participating McDonald’s outlets starting May 27.
