Make Sure Your Small Business Is Taking Advantage Of Social Media

Social media is a force to be reckoned with in our society, and you cannot afford to miss out on the benefits of using it as a small business owner. Though it can be time-consuming, platforms like Instagram can help you grow your company organically and quickly. It’s a great way to advertise yourself, and in some cases, for very little money! Entrepreneur’s Andrea Huspeni explains how you can start using Instagram to grow your business:

Make sure you create a business-only account. Don’t include your personal life on this account, allow its existence to be purely business-related. This will allow you access to specific analytics, and give you the chance to boost posts. Lastly, having a business account on Instagram gives customers an easy way to contact you.

Once you have your business account set up, create a content calendar so you aren’t just posting things willy-nilly. You want some sort of rhyme and reason to posting what you do, and when you do. The best way to do this is plan out a month ahead of time, and think of important milestones, like holidays, that may require a specific type of post.

Now that your calendar is ready to go, and your business account is up and running, it’s time to be active! Turn your notifications on so you are always connected to what’s going on. That way, you can respond and interact with your audience quickly. This will help build rapport with your potential clients and prove you care about your product or service.
