A Small Business Owner’s Advice on Managing Personal Finances
Being a small business owner can be rough at times and entrepreneur Hattie Grace Elliot knows the ins and outs of what that feels like start a business and question the financial aspects. So, when Hattie was approached for an interview she was asked the question, “How Has Being a Business Owner changed your perspective on managing your personal finances?”
For Hattie Grace, this question was an easy one because it changed her perspective in such a big way that she actually has a different outlook on life because of it.
Hattie thought about this question and responded with her own personal knowledge. She said that once you start your own business you miss having that security of “oh yea my medical and health insurances come with the package”. Instead you have to go out there and find them yourself and a lot of times it is overwhelmingly expensive especially for business owners.
She also mentions that when you’re a small business owner you get a sense real quick of what you can really afford.
Also a good point that Hattie makes is that you have to be aware if your business is seasonal. If it is you have to make sure you are managing your money efficiently. Make sure you know when to save and you know where to spend. This is key when it comes to owning a business and managing your personal finances. For more check out the video above!
