This new coffee has 20% more caffeine
Dunkin’ has launched a range of new coffee options for the New Year, with a focus on providing more variety for their customers. The highlight of this new lineup is a coffee that packs a stronger punch of caffeine for those seeking an extra boost of energy.
Starting today, Dunkin’ stores will offer “Extra Charged Coffee,” a beverage with at least 20% more caffeine than their regular blends, available in both hot and iced versions for a special price of $2 per cup for a limited time.
In a blog post, Dunkin’ stated, “Let’s face it, many of our plans for 2020 didn’t go as expected. As we enter 2021, we could all benefit from a little something extra to help us tackle our tasks. If you need a boost to kickstart your day or keep you going during a busy schedule, we have the perfect drink for you.”
The Extra Charged Coffee is created using green coffee extract instead of the usual method of adding an espresso shot to increase caffeine levels. This approach ensures that the coffee’s taste remains unchanged despite the added caffeine content.

Alongside the Extra Charged coffee, Dunkin’ is also introducing two limited-time coffee blends. The “Dunkin Explorer Batch” is a medium roast with hints of dark berries and a smoky finish, while “Dunkin’ Midnight” is a dark roast with sweet and bold chocolate flavors.
The Explorer Batch marks the debut of Dunkin’s Limited Batch coffee series, whereas the Dunkin’ Midnight will replace the regular dark roast on the menu.
