## Domino’s Offers Credit on Pick-Up Orders Due to Staffing Shortages
## Domino’s wants you to pick up your pizza for a special offer.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, pizza sales have significantly increased. More people staying at home, either due to quarantine or remote work, have led to a surge in demand for pizza delivery services. However, this rise in demand has brought challenges as well.
Domino’s, for example, is facing a shortage of delivery drivers as employees leave for other opportunities during the ongoing “Great Resignation.” Despite the growing number of pizza orders, Domino’s lacks enough drivers to meet delivery demands, causing delays and potentially impacting customer satisfaction.
To address the driver shortage issue, Domino’s is encouraging customers to pick up their orders in-store by offering a $3 credit. From now until May 22, customers who place their Domino’s orders online and opt for in-store pick-up will receive a $3 credit that they can use on future orders. This promotion applies exclusively to online orders to avoid burdening in-store staff with phone orders.
As the Super Bowl, a major day for pizza deliveries, approaches in less than two weeks, Domino’s is hopeful that this initiative will help ensure that all orders are delivered on time.
