Bill Dudley Says US Soft Landing Is Still Unlikely

Former Federal Reserve Bank of New York President and Bloomberg Opinion columnist Bill Dudley says a soft landing for the US economy remains unlikely, and sees a recession in the mid-term due to the Fed’s policy tightening. “Every time the Fed has pushed the unemployment rate up more than half a percentage point, we’ve always ended up in recession. I just don’t see that this time is going to be any different,” he says on “Bloomberg Surveillance.” Dudley’s opinions are his own.
